Often schools and other members of our communities' comment on children’s behavior or difficulties and struggle to understand what may be going on at home.
Often the parent’s experiences, feelings and emotions are ignored, and this results in parents feeling uncontained and misunderstood.
Parental counselling aims to help parents feel more contained and equipped in terms of the demands of parenting. It also assists parents to understand and guide their children in adapting to adverse life events such as relocating to a new school, area or country, loss of a close family member as well as general family communication difficulties.
